Today we are talking all about the Natasha Denona Glam Palette. It has been a long time since I have been so excited about a palette! I ordered this the day before it launched and it felt like it took forever to get here. I love it!! I tried to incorporate a lot of shades from the palette into this look. I hope to give you all a variety of looks with this palette in the coming weeks. The entire palette is very wearable. A lot of neutral tones and very wearable. It is a perfect mix of neutral shades and is definitely more cool toned than warm toned. It has a good assortment of shimmer, metallic and matte shades. I also love the price point! I love her smaller palettes because the formula and quality is always impressive. This new palette seems to be just as nice!
I have prepped my eyelids using the Alter Ego Eyeshadow Base. It is a new base I’ve been using that I enjoy. It is transparent and brightening and helps to brighten your shadows. It sheers out really nicely and won’t give you a patchy eyeshadow application. I love this formula and the applicator.
This is a cool toned palette with a few warm toned shades. The perfect neutral palette. This palette has my name on it! With most palettes there are shades that I would barely use but not with this palette. I would use every one! There are 15 shades and I cannot wait to play with it!
What’s interesting about the shade names of this palette is that each shade names are instructions. All of the inner lid and outer lid shades are shimmer shades and transition and crease shades are matte. Shimmer shades reflect light and give the illusion of something protruding, while matte shades absorb light and help create definition. The lighter shimmer shades are focused on the inner lid, the medium shimmer shades are the center lid, and the darker shimmer shades are for the outer lid to help create the illusion of a brighter and more open eye. Not only does texture reflect light but so does color. Lighter shades will make an area appear larger while darker shades will make an area appear a bit smaller.
I start with mixing a light transition shade with one they label for the brow bone but that I find too shimmery for the brow bone. By mixing these two shades for the brow bone I create the perfect color. I use the BK Beauty 206 Blending Shader Brush to get the right amount of pickup, not too much for a lighter application of the color and texture.
Next, I use the shade “Blend,” a warm, soft-peachy matte shade for my crease using the BK Beauty 201 Blended Crease Brush. Next, I take the shade “Outer Lid” and apply it to the outer eyelid with the BK Beauty 207 Pencil Blender Brush. To deepen up the outer corner I use the shade “Smoke” and blend that into the corner with the BK Beauty 202 Defined Crease Brush. I keep it directly in the outer corner to prevent it from spreading.
Next, I want to brighten the inner corner and I use the shade “Inner Corner” with the BK Beauty 203 Shader Brush. This is such a pretty shade! I think this palette was made for me- The shades and the placements! I like the seamless transition of the shimmer shades. I finish the lid by taking the first matte shade I used and reapplying it to make sure I have the peek of peach.
I want to intensify the lash line so I take the BK Beauty 208 Precision Angled Brush and use the shade “Lash Line” to create a small winged liner on the outer half of my lash line. This shade isn’t a true black but is deep and a great shade for a liner. This 208 brush makes the winged liner so easy! It does all the work for you if you have hooded eyes or struggle creating a winged liner. For the lower lash line I use the shade for “Outer Eyelid” and take the BK Beauty 204 Smudge It Brush. I start in the outer corner because I want it to be the darkest there and not be too heavy as we work inward. To make the lower lash line a tad bit darker, I use the shade “Smoke” and run it over the lower lash line again.
The last thing I do to complete this look is take a tiny bit of the shade “Inner Corner” on a fluffy brush and softly place it on the innermost corners of my eyes. With the BK Beauty 201 Brush you get a lot of payoff even with a light application. I then take the Wet n Wild Ultimate Brow Highlight to line my inner rim to brighten up the eye and add some of the NARS Climax Mascara.
I love this look! Let me know what you think of this look and if you have been loving this palette! If you are a neutral girl you will love this palette. It’s also glam and its cool tones make it a unique palette. Highly recommend this palette!!
