So apparently you can have glowy skin without looking greasy. Living in Austin, TX where temps in the Summer can soar over 100, I have always been one to shy away from that sought after glow complexion products offer. Give me all the matte, shine control products you can find has always been my motto. Until about two years ago when I started to notice my skin wasn’t what it was like in my twenties, and I have to find that delicate balance in a foundation routine that gives me good coverage without looking cakey, is long wearing without looking dry, and gives my skin radiance without looking greasy.
I share a lot of fabulous finds on my blog and YouTube Channel but when I find the perfect combination of products to achieve the perfect look and the perfect performance… well that is something I feel the need to share with anyone who will listen.
I found that perfect combo in a few Charlotte Tilbury products from Nordstrom, that have truly made it to the top of my list.
Let’s start with the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. I know, I know I am late to the party on this one. But I just purchased it this month and can’t believe I hadn’t had this in my collection sooner. The finish on this is actually described as being a demi matte finish, that is longwearing and buildable. I personally love a demi matte, but wanted to see how I could add some more glow that appeared natural and from within so the Nordstrom artists recommended Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter to pair with it.
I apply the Flawless Filter on my cheek bones, and forehead just before I apply the foundation and it gives the most subtle but beautiful glow from within.
After I blend the two in, I apply the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Concealer under the eyes and center of the face to conceal and brighten. This concealer is pretty light weight and on the more natural side for coverage making it a great option for days its a million degrees outside and you don’t want to feel like you have a lot on. Its also a great products for more dry, textured under eye skin.
The last step, but very important for me is to set the foundation and concealer. I also picked up the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Powder in the pinker tone (Shade 1). It is pure magic! It sets the liquid products without looking overly matte, or heavy and doesn’t reduce that glow that I worked so hard to make it look so subtle.
I am so blow away with how beautiful and natural this combo looks on my skin and how long it wears even in record high heat!
I also grabbed a few of the new MAC Love Me Lipsticks on my way out and these have quickly become my go to lip products this month! They are so comfortable on the lips and have a high pigment payoff and subtle shine! They are gorgeous! I got the shades Daddy’s Girl (Soft Nude Pink), Pure Nonchalance (Cool Tone Pink), and French Silk (Soft Coral). They are infused with Argan Oil and feel so so good on the lips!
