Hi Friends! I wanted to do a fun challenge using all makeup under $5 from Ulta! I chose most of these products by filtering Ulta’s website for products under $5, with the most and best reviews online. I found some real gems!
Wet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation SPF: $4.49
I purchased the shade in natural beige and I have always enjoyed a cushion foundation. It loads up pretty well on my BK Beauty 106 Brush. This is a natural looking foundation with a slight glow and makes the skin look really hydrated. It does not provide full coverage, but evens out the skin without looking heavy. It’s great for winter months to make dry skin look hydrated.
e.l.f. HD Lifting Concealer: $4.00
This is my first time trying this product! It had amazing reviews on Ulta so I went for it. I chose shade medium. This is darker than most concealers that I use so it isn’t giving me a lot of brightness, but that is more of a mistake on my part by ordering the wrong color. It does a great job of concealing dark circles and does not look dry or heavy.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer: $9.99
This is over the $5 mark but it’s one of my favorite drugstore concealers. I get it in a lighter shade to add brightness under the eye and keep one in my makeup bag for touchups on those days I’m looking as tired as I feel.
e.l.f Prime and Stay Finishing Powder: $3.00
This powder is a great touchup lightweight powder! It blurs and smooths pores very nicely! As soon as I applied my pores are smoothed out.
NYX Professional Makeup Precision Brow Pencil: $10.00
My favorite drugstore brow pencil! NYX really is the best drugstore brand for brow pencils in my opinion. Their Micro Brow pencil is another great brow pencil!
Sweet and Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette: $2.97
This palette is a pretty neutral warm palette and decent color payoff. For the price I think it’s a great find!
Beauty Gems Everyday Essentials Eyeshadow Palette: $3.97
Beautiful neutral shades with mattes and shimmers! Good pigment and payoff and easy to blend! I was really impressed with this palette.
Catrice Cosmetics Eye Foundation Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer: $6.99
A nice affordable primer. Whenever I apply eyeshadow primer I make sure I extend it all the way up to my brow. It’s easy to blend out with your finger.
Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil: $2.49
This is a great pencil that is rich in color, creamy, and soft! I got the shade Hot Chocolate. Like with any eye pencil I set with a powder. Setting with a powder keeps the eye liner from moving around. To accomplish this I’m using a new BK Beauty brush that is perfect for creating the perfect winged eye.
Essence Get BIG Volume Boost Waterproof Mascara: $3.99
This mascara works well and gave me a lot of length!
This mascara was highly recommended by all of you, it gives great length but I found it a little irritating for my eyes.
e.l.f. Mellow Mauve Blush: $4.00
A nice and neutral blush that is great as an everyday shade. Really beautiful! My favorite under $5 find!
Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner: $2.99
These liners are some of my new favorites! I really like the shades ‘Never Petal Down’ and ‘Bare to Comment.’ They glide on easily and are so creamy.
A great lip primer that smooths out lines in lips and makes my lips look bigger, fuller, and keeps my lipstick on all day!
e.l.f Day to Night Lipstick Duo: $2.50
A nice and hydrating lip color with a little bit of a gloss! I got the shade ‘I Love Pinks!’
Makeup Revolution Bake and Blot Pressed Powder: $3.99
I love this brightening powder because it blurs texture, brightens and sets makeup! I use the shade ‘Banana.’
