Hi friends! Summer is in full swing over here and I feel like I am just trying to keep up! Trying to make the most of my time with the girls while they are out of school, while also balancing a never ending list of tasks, is keeping me on my toes this month! Not complaining though as I actually feel like I thrive in the chaos. J
I have found myself constantly reaching for the same beauty products that I know will not fail me through these long hot days. Most of these have made it into my Favorites videos recently but I felt like they were definitely worth the extra share in today’s blog post.
1. Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40– this has been my go to primer this month, because it not only primes the skin, smooths the skin and minimizes shine, but it has an SPF of 40! And its clear and very light weight.
2. Dior Forever Matte Foundation– this has been my most rotated foundation this month, because of its wearability. It stays matte and offers great coverage without looking or feeling heavy, and it is very long wearing. I don’t have to worry about it fading or looking super oily throughout the day even on the hottest day.
3. Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick – on the days I wear a lipstick (rather than just throwing on a sheer gloss), this lipstick has been it. I love it for the color and coverage it gives without feeling like I have a thick product on my lips. Its also very long wearing and lasts for hours on me (unless I eat and then I need to retouch).I love the shade “Liv it Up” and I also love the shade “Dancefloor Princess” from her newest launch the Hot Lips 2.0 Lipsticks. The packaging is SO cute!
4. Hourgloss Veil Loose Powder- I’ve had this powder for a while and recently added it to my rotation. With my skin needing decent coverage, matte finish and longwear, it’s a delicate balance of finding the right combination of products that give my skin a nice balance without looking too matte, or too heavy or too dry. I like this powder because it has the softest luminosity to it without making the skin look shiny. It sets the foundation, and adds just the right glow to a matte long wear foundation.
